Enhancements
This release contains an update that complies with the changes to the USPS database product release dates that are mandated by the DMM starting in October 2022. There are three significant changes that affect the Coder, which is described below:
– The official release date of the USPS database products is being changed from the 15th of the month to
the 1st of the month. For example, the September database products will have an official release date
of September 15, 2022, and the October database products will have an official release date of October 1, 2022.
– The database expiration time period will be changed from 105 days following the official release date, to
3 months following the official release date. For example, the October 1, 2022 database can be used until
December 31, 2022, and it will be expired starting on January 1, 2023.
– For the USPS LACSLink, SuiteLink, and RDI data products, the header files are being changed so that the
header line that used to read “Release Date” will now read “Product Date”. This version of the Coder has
been updated to handle that change.
In order for older versions of the Coder to still function with the Link products published starting in
October 2022, Anchor will be changing the Link header files so that they still read “Release Date”. This
will only happen in Link data products that are fulfilled by Anchor. Any Link data products fulfilled
directly from the USPS will show “Product Date” in the header files, and those will not be usable in
an older version of the Coder.
